About Pochette Patchwork
Pochette Patchwork earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to pouch sewing, and straight answers are rarer in this pattern catalogue than you would think. With 10 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. It is Petit Citron's work.
Bag patterns live on the interfacing list. If the pattern does not say what gives the bag its shape, expect a soft bag whatever fabric you use. We keep it filed mentally under pochette, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
It answers to patchwork, pouch and sewing pouch, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. We filed it under Bag and Pouch Patterns for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. Judged against the requests we see — tote bag pattern, tote bag diy pattern, crochet tote bags free patterns, bag sewing patterns and tote bag sewing pattern — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. The neighbouring searches are bag, purse, backpack and tote — worth a look if this particular pattern is close but not quite it.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
