About Sunflower Sketch

If apron embroidery design is what you came for, start here — Sunflower Sketch is the plainest reading of that request on the Bag and Pouch Patterns shelf. Only 7 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.

Bag patterns live on the interfacing list. If it does not say what gives the bag its shape, expect a soft bag whatever fabric you use. We would use it the way the listing hints — botanical decor embroidery — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Search for botanical embroidery design, botanical line art, cottagecore embroidery and decorative embroidery file and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same pattern, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. Put next to the usual requests here — tote bag pattern, tote bag diy pattern, crochet tote bags free patterns, bag sewing patterns and tote bag sewing pattern — this one covers the plain version of the job, which is the version people need most often. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are bag, pouch, purse, backpack and tote and they stay on this page. We filed it under Bag and Pouch Patterns for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this pattern

  1. Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
  2. Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
  3. Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
  4. Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
