About Howdy
Howdy is our bucking embroidery pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Only 68 people have saved it so far, so this is our pick rather than the crowd's. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
Map and flag designs age badly if they carry a year. Pick the plain version for anything you plan to re-stitch. We keep it filed mentally under bull skull design, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every pattern on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
