About Mylar Butterfly Bears
What we like about Mylar Butterfly Bears is how little it tries to be everything — it does charming, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Baby & Kids Embroidery Designs shelf. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. 42 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up.
Appliqué versions stitch faster and stay softer against skin than a solid fill of the same size. Our own plan for it is butterfly, because that is where this kind of pattern does the least arguing with you. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether charming is really what you are getting.
Search for bears, free quilt pattern, machine embroidery and mylar and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same pattern, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. Its home here is Baby & Kids Embroidery Designs — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. The same shelf also answers to babies-kids, so widen the search there before giving up on it.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
