About Shining Star
Shining Star stayed on the shelf for the dull reason that it works. We would rather have one of these than three patterns with ideas of their own. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. The save count is still small at 20, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
We would keep it for the project where a pattern has to work on the first try. Appliqué versions stitch faster and stay softer against skin than a solid fill of the same size. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
We filed it under Baby & Kids Embroidery Designs for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. People after this usually search babies-kids too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
