About Unicorn
Unicorn is our animal embroidery pick, and it is a pick rather than a default — we looked at the shelf twice before leaving it on. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. The save count is still small at 14, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
Our own plan for it is countryside embroidery, because that is where this kind of pattern does the least arguing with you. Appliqué versions stitch faster and stay softer against skin than a solid fill of the same size. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether animal embroidery is really what you are getting.
If you came in looking for equestrian embroidery, equine art, equine embroidery and farm embroidery, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
