About Border
This is the one we reach for when the request is cross stitch. Border keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. With 34 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
Check whether the design is sold as a repeat with matching ends. A border that does not join cleanly needs a corner motif to hide the seam. We keep it filed mentally under cutwork border design, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. How to use this pattern
