About Floral Border
What we like about Floral Border is how little it tries to be everything — it does bordados, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Border Embroidery Designs shelf. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. With 20 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
Our own plan for it is border design, because that is where this kind of pattern does the least arguing with you. Check whether the design is sold as a repeat with matching ends. A border that does not join cleanly needs a corner motif to hide the seam. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
It answers to cushion cover, cutwork border design, embroidery border and embroidery lace, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
