About Pillow Border
What we like about Pillow Border is how little it tries to be everything — it does border design, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Border Embroidery Designs shelf. The save count is still small at 67, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
Put it to work on cushion cover first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Measure the finished repeat, not the hoop. Four repeats of a 180 mm border do not fit a standard pillowcase. Spend the minute on the preview at full size — it is where you find out whether border design was the description or the aspiration.
It answers to cutwork border design, embroidery border, embroidery corner and embroidery designs, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. The same shelf also answers to borders, so widen the search there before giving up on it. It is shelved with the rest of the border embroidery designs, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
