About Vintage Border
What we like about Vintage Border is how little it tries to be everything — it does cutwork endless border, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Border Embroidery Designs shelf. The save count is still small at 31, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.
Measure the finished repeat, not the hoop. Four repeats of a 180 mm border do not fit a standard pillowcase. Our own plan for it is embroidery digitizing, because that is where this kind of pattern does the least arguing with you. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every pattern on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Filed as embroidery designs, floral border design, home decor hadloom decor and jeans decorative cloths. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. People after this usually search borders too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. On this site it lives on the Border Embroidery Designs shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing border embroidery designs rather than searching for it by name.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
