About Grandpa
Most of what turns up under chikan embroidery digitizing needs work before it is usable. Grandpa is the version that does not. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. It sits at 11 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.
If you want one use for it, take chikankari embroidery for hat: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Hoop art is framed flat, so it forgives a dense design that clothing would not. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
Search for classic embroidery, cool embroidery, cute embroidery and digital embroidery and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same pattern, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. You will find it among the family & friends embroidery designs, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are family-friends and they stay on this page.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
