About Mama
This is the one we reach for when the request is embroidery file. Mama keeps it simple, which is why it sits here rather than in the reserve pile. With 38 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge.
Gift designs get looked at closely. A 2 mm satin border hides the small registration errors a quick stitch-out always has. Our own plan for it is embroidery pattern, because that is where this kind of pattern does the least arguing with you. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether embroidery file is really what you are getting.
Filed as embroidery design, family embroidery, machine embroidery and mama embroidery. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. The neighbouring searches are family-friends — worth a look if this particular pattern is close but not quite it. We keep it under Family & Friends Embroidery Designs, which is where to look if you want the rest of the family & friends embroidery designs we have gone through.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
