About Storyteller
The reason Storyteller is here is book and nothing else. It does not try to cover the next three jobs along, and we would rather it did not. There are no reviews on it yet, so judge it by the preview and not by a score that does not exist. The save count is still small at 7, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus.
Hoop art is framed flat, so it forgives a dense design that clothing would not. The obvious job for it is grandchildren, and obvious is right here — the file was built around that and it shows. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every pattern on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
The words on the listing are embroidery, grandfather, machine embroidery and old, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. On this site it lives on the Family & Friends Embroidery Designs shelf, so it also turns up for people browsing family & friends embroidery designs rather than searching for it by name. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are family-friends and they stay on this page.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
