Donut

About Donut

Most of what turns up under bakery needs work before it is usable. Donut is the version that does not. 11 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict.

We keep it filed mentally under baking, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Aprons and oven gloves are layered fabric. Hoop only the top layer or the design stitches the pocket shut. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether bakery is really what you are getting.

Search for baking chef, bread, breakfast and chocolate fudge donut and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same pattern, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. Related wording on the shelf: house-home. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. We filed it under Home & Kitchen Embroidery Designs for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

How to use this pattern

1. Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
2. Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
3. Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
4. Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
