About Oh My Stars... Oops, Pinwheels!
What we like about Oh My Stars... Oops, Pinwheels! is how little it tries to be everything — it does layer cake, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Quilt and Applique Patterns shelf. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The designer behind it is SleepingCatCreations. Plenty of people got here before us: 199 of them saved it.
A quilt pattern should tell you the block size and the fabric requirements in one place — if you have to work them out yourself, cutting errors follow. Put it to work on piecing first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
The words on the listing are pinwheels, quilt and stars, and they are worth reading as a description rather than as tags. You will find it among the quilt and applique patterns, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. Related wording on the shelf: patchwork, mug rug, applique and block. Same shelf, different phrasing, and the sort options above work across all of it. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on quilt patterns, rag quilt, puff quilt and quilt block patterns free, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
