About PDF Pattern for Cat and Dog Mug Rug
PDF Pattern for Cat and Dog Mug Rug earned its place here for one reason: it is a straight answer to applique templates, and straight answers are rarer in this pattern catalogue than you would think. 31 saves mean nobody has tested it for you. We still think it holds up. Sher's Pattern Shop is the name on the listing. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence.
A quilt pattern should tell you the block size and the fabric requirements in one place — if you have to work them out yourself, cutting errors follow. If you want one use for it, take cat applique template: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every pattern on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Search for cat mug rug, dog applique template, dog mug rug and mug rug applique templates and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same pattern, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. You will find it among the quilt and applique patterns, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. People after this usually search quilt, patchwork and block too, and the shelf is sorted so those all land in the same place. The searches that bring people to this shelf are quilt patterns, rag quilt, puff quilt and quilt block patterns free — this one sits in the middle of that group rather than off to the side of it.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
