About Scrunchie Sewing Pattern Hair Tie Sewing
The classic use-up-the-offcuts project, and one of the few where a handmade version beats the shop one on fabric alone. One seam, one channel, elastic through, done in a sitting. I would make these in threes and give two away.
A scrunchie sewing pattern is the classic scrap fabric project: one seam, one elastic channel, finished in a sitting. Cotton, satin or velvet all behave, so it is a safe place to use the offcuts you cannot bring yourself to bin. Easy enough for a first machine sewing project, and three of them make a gift.

How to use this pattern
- Download the files from Creative Fabrica and unzip them into one folder.
- Print the pattern sheets at 100% — no scaling, no «fit to page» — and check the test square with a ruler before you cut anything.
- Tape the sheets together on the printed match marks, then cut the pieces out and keep the instruction sheet next to your machine.
- Sew a quick version in cheap fabric first if the shape is new to you; the second one is always the one you keep.
